Reclaiming Craft Skills!

I've recently learned how to knit and have had various discussions with women about the skills we've lost, many of them because men took them out of the home and into the factories where women weren't allowed. There's more at SharkBait's place if you're interested.

But here, we'd like to make our mark on knitting and offer you a simple and easy to follow pattern for this:It's a roughly square cloth about the right size for a dishcloth, wiping up cloth or washcloth. You'll need a ball of dishcloth weight cotton, or other cotton, or whatever yarn you chose, and a pair of needles the right size for the yarn - I use 4 or 4.5mm! Then to buy the pattern, which will be delivered to you via email as a PDF file, simply check the box below and follow the instructions in the shopping cart. No postage will be applied and all money from this item will be passed to a Feminist cause of our choosing at an as yet undetermined point in the future - but we'll keep you posted.

Prices are in British pounds but using the Paypal option will allow you to use any currency supported by Paypal.
